Irish artist, Eoin O'Connor is living and working in Aughrim county Wicklow. His highly sought after pieces are among both leading business and private collections at home and abroad.
Eoin draws much of his inspiration for his work from characters and places in and around county Wicklow. Bold and quirky colours serve to amplify the lasting impression such scenery leaves on the viewer, exaggerated angles of view, inquisitive subject matter featuing local livestock all capture the imagination and invariably stop admirers in their tracks!
Already Eoin has attracted considerable media attention following a recent publishing deal to supply over 5,000 galleries worldwide. For the last two years he also had his paintings in the Waldorf Astoria in New York at the Celtic Ball.
Eoin's paints from his Studio located in the picturesque town of Aughrim, County Wicklow but has recently opened a Gallery in Kinsale Co. Cork, called Art box, www.artbox.ie . Artbox also displays work from Philip Gray, Sharon McDaid, John Nolan, Orla Walsh and Mary Pickering. Eoin 's studio is in Aughrim where you can visit by appointment only. Painting is Eoin's passion, he realises how lucky he is to do something he loves so much for a living. Yet with all this excitement Eoin feels personal pressure to always evolve and get better, this tension is what makes his paintings so special. You never knows what's coming next! Eoin's unique paintings are now considered a great investment.
Eoin O'Connor also sells framed limited and open edition prints and with the recent launch of a dedicated e-commerce section his work is now much more accessible to collectors of fine art.
