I don’t know about you but for me, 2023 is all about looking forward. 2022 felt like an adjustment period following the pandemic, and an opportunity to focus on our individual needs and wants. Now we can look at the future. This is our Golden Hour.

All the years of constantly challenging myself, constantly honing my techniques and developing my most authentic expression bring me here to 2023. I could never have guessed that I would be in this position then. All I knew was I really, really, wanted to paint.

I’ve been painting for a long time, and I’ve never taken any of my successes for granted. They are the sum of pure hard work, but as an artist, the work brings me the joy. Of course it would never have happened without my patrons. And that's what the people who buy my work are. It seems like a slightly old fashioned word but in reality, the patron provides the artist the financial support to live and develop their work. The word also defines those that buy regularly from a shop. So thanks to all of you.

I am so excited about the future. I have so many ideas. Giant canvases, thrilling new images and new homeware products. I can’t wait to get going and share them with you.

Like many of you, I have begun a fitness programme and this is already giving me so much positive energy in the mind and the body. Health is such a privilege and I’m so grateful for that.

So wishing you and yours good health, joy and passion to follow your own dreams in 2023 and onwards.
